Report to: Structural Division Manager
LOCATION: Ennis, Tx
Job Duties
- Interpret structural steel fabrication drawings to create detailed fabrication drawings
- Create accurate fabrication drawings in accordance with industry standards
- Create bills of materials for structural steel fabrication projects
- Verify accuracy of material takeoffs for structural steel fabrication projects
- Work with 3rd party engineering staff and other departments to ensure accuracy and conformance to project specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Troubleshoot problems related to structural steel fabrication projects
- Monitor and optimize the fabrication process to maximize efficiency and cost savings
Qualifications
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques, processes, and materials
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design software and Tekla
• Experience with structural steel detailing and related software
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

- Develop detailed plans for fabricating and assembling structural components.
- Utilize software for detailing and quantifying materials for fabrication.
- Generate fabrication drawings and shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication.
