Oversees plant operating efficiency; maintain records; prepare reports regarding the operation of the treatment plant and quality of the plant product; suggest methods of improving plant efficiency; troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, and reports maintenance actions.

Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to corrects deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures within the guidelines of City policies and procedures

Supervises water treatment plant employees regarding schedules, duty assignments, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for employee safety and proper plant operation.

Assists with conducting chemical and bacteriological analysis of treatment plant products using quality control data analysis data of plant product.

|
Attends supervisory/staff meetings; leads employee staff and safety meetings to ensure employees are trained in City policy changes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Prepares and submits daily, weekly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports for the TCEQ, EPA, and other regulatory agencies; annual budget requests to designated supervisor; and purchase requests for plant supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.

|
Coordinates with employees, contractors and regulatory agencies for proper plant operation, repair, expansion, and other construction to ensure regulatory compliance and safety of public.

Oversees and reviews Cross Connection Program, Customer Service Inspection Program, Pretreatment Program, laboratory records, maintenance actions and test results for safety and operation of treatment plant.

|
